Thirteen Group: 50kW Solar PV Installation at Hudson Quay
Anelec completed a successful 50kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system installation for Thirteen Group at their Hudson Quay office complex in Middlesbrough. The installation included 100 solar panels, each providing a significant boost to the building’s energy efficiency. Connected to a Solis inverter, the system enables the generation of renewable energy to power the building while also contributing to Thirteen Group’s sustainability goals. To ensure safety, the installation was carried out with a man-safe system, removing the need for scaffolding while working at height.
This solar PV system is expected to generate around 40,000 kWh of energy annually, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the building. The system is capable of saving approximately 7 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, underscoring Thirteen Group’s commitment to reducing environmental impact. In addition to its practical benefits, the system also includes a Solarfox display in the reception area, offering live data on energy generation and real-time carbon savings. This feature provides transparency and allows visitors to witness firsthand the positive environmental effects of the solar installation.
